An interesting movie, a masterpiece by director Nuri Bilge Ceylan. The story was built around a murder investigation. The film is long (almost 3 hours) with a lot of rich very-wide shots of the Anatolian country side.
What's amazing in this film is the collection of quirky characters - the impatient police officer, the prosecutor that stops many times to pee, and a wide collection of precious mini stories and anecdotes -- seemingly unrelated to the main story. The main character, the doctor (Muhammet Uzuner) in the end showed his human side by risking his career with his sympathy for an orphan boy.
